ABOUT BELMONT BOATWORKS:

Belmont Boatworks is located 5 miles inland from Belfast harbor. We currently store and maintain approximately 100 boats on site, in a combination of inside and outside storage, and we serve non-storage customers throughout the mid-coast area. We offer a full range of services including expert mechanical and carpentry work, structural fiberglass repairs, wooden boat construction and restoration, rigging, and paint and varnish applied by spray and brush, with Awl Grip and gelcoat repairs a specialty.

BBW runs two hydraulic boat-moving trailers, and transports boats throughout the U.S. A large part of our trucking work is seasonal local boat transport for customers storing their boats at home, hauling and launching on the local ramps, stepping and unstepping masts, and performing other services as needed. We are one of the few yards that encourage Do-It-Yourselfers, and DIY customers are a big part of our storage fleet, although we are a full serviced boatyard.
